Tom Daschle

“At it’s core, health care is one of the most important things that will determine the strength of our country. How healthy we are will affect how educated we become. In the end, it will affect the quality of life we lead.”

Thomas A. Daschle is a former member of the US House of Representatives and former Senator from South Dakota. While in Congress, he served as the Senate majority leader. To help stem the erosion of cooperation across political parties, he helped to establish the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington.
